It's in stark contrast to the lively, boisterous and at most times, overflowing next door neighbour Opus, the Italian restaurant but a nice change from the norm. Looking more like a bar cum art gallery (must be the neon-lighted fish tank running across one side) than a restaurant, it's somewhere to try out if you really can't be bothered with the parking and still want to go to Bangsar.

For me, the interior design, very cool bathrooms, music and crockery (supplied by Claycraft) had a more WOW factor than the food.

They serve Japanese food at U. The big fat square menu has Kaiseki sets in the front ranging from RM70 to about RM200+ ( I think) and a la carte.

MBF choose the RM120 set which consisted of 2 measly Japanese octopus and some crab-stick salad, agedashi tofu, prawns and grilled salmon accompanied by miso soup, rice and green tea ice cream.

I had the cold tofu and imported vegetable salad (RM18).

Servings were ok, not too much and not too little. Service was great, the waiters/waitresses were very attentive. The crockery was probably the highlight because it was so original and oh ya...the bathroom ..very cool indeed and you're never quite sure which one is the mens / ladies.

So, would I go back again ... probably not ... you're more likely to see me at Ozeki's at Menara TA!!
